Therapeutic Play Skills & Play Therapy
An integrative holistic model of play and creative art based therapy is a child-centred therapeutic approach, focusing on the needs of the individual child. Utilising a variety of mediums allows children time to explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences while having the freedom to express themselves within a consistent and safe environment. This promotes independence and the opportunity to regulate their emotions to gain a better understanding of their world whilst building on tools to enable them to cope with the limitations or lack of control that may surround them.
Through the use of directive and non-directive approaches the workings of both conscious and unconscious processes form the foundations of the therapy.
Therapeutic Play benefits slight to moderate problems; whereas Play Therapy, which utilises a mix of non directive and directive approaches, benefits moderate to more complex cases.

Positive Well-being
Positive Well-being is provided within a group setting as interactive group sessions looking at creative ways to explore the self and others. As well as, individually through the engagement within the class to encourage social play and collaboration in the class environment. Being on the same level as the child, interacting alongside their play but not invading their space, allows a relationship to build where the child learns to engage and collaborate within social interaction, building on their confidence and ability to expand their knowledge alongside their peers.

Available Packages
Individual Play Therapy
Individual weekly sessions for a minimum of 12 weeks. On recommendation, this may be increased in increments of 6 weeks if required. Moderate to complex needs generally require more sessions to accommodate the complexities of the therapeutic processing of a child and will be agreed prior to commencing.
In addition, the child’s therapeutic package requires parent/carer and teacher/staff meetings at the start, interim and end, along with a final report provided.

School Play Therapy
A schools package (depending on individual child complexity) includes up to 4 children’s sessions in a school day, for a minimum of 12 weeks. The number of sessions may be increased depending on the severity of the needs and agreed prior to commencing.
In addition, the inclusion of parent/carer and teacher meetings at the start, interim and end, along with a final report are provided.
Positive Wellbeing
Interactive group sessions of 4-6 children (age dependent) for a minimum of 6 weeks, including a short observation, teacher meeting, objectives, session plan, and outcomes.
LEGO® Brick Based Therapy
Using LEGO® brick based therapy sessions helps to support the development of social communication skills through the use of an interactive development program (Play Included). This can be provided within a group of approximately 3 children, or individually alongside the therapist, later progressing into a group setting. This can also be incorporated within the Play Therapy sessions when children choose LEGO® bricks as their main medium and gravitate towards a more directive approach of interaction.

Adult Creative Art based Therapy
Whilst Play Therapy is predominantly aimed towards children between the ages of 3 and 12 years, it can also be beneficial for young people and adults who prefer a more creative art based therapy utilising a variety of mediums within a safe and confidential environment.
